Coming full (Cleveland) Circle

Boston, très vite, très fort, m'a semblé être "chez moi", comme si la ville et moi-même nous appartenions mutuellement à un degré que je n'ai jamais retrouvé dans mes autres villes d'étude (Paris et Reims), même  si j'y suis resté plus longtemps.  J'ai retrouvé cette sensation dès la première vue sur le fleuve Charles depuis mon wagon de métro, depuis mon premier achta de "Charlie ticket" pour prendr ele métro, en fait. Alors évidemment, la première chose à faire était de revenir sur le campus de Boston University, reprendre mes arrêts de  métro habituels, revoir ma maison, l'hôtel où j'ai vécu deux mois, les bâtiments où j'ai étudié, et retrouvé toutes mes petites habitudes.

C'est peut-être l'imminence du départ, ou l'effet du printemps tant attendu enfin arrivé, maisje trouve mon quartier magnifique.

GO, RANDOM STRANGER, GO! - Boston Marathon 2015

My poor efforts at taking a pictures of the racing bikings who run the marathon the night before.

Le 20 avril 2015 avait lieu le marathon de Boston, qui coïncide tous les ans avec le jour férié Patriots' Day, d'où la blague de la publicité ci-dessus. Le Boston Marathon est un évènement mondial, et sa renommée a été encore augmentée par les attentats perpétrés durant son édition 2013, donnant lieu au slogan "Boston Strong". Par chance, le dernier mile passait directement sous mes fenêtres.

The ast mile of the Marathon was luckily just under my window. Police secured Kenmore Square.

Good natured neighbours organized a barbecue for the Boston Police in spites of  imminent rain.

With my friend Emily, after lunch, and before goign back to our respective homework. i'm so glad I got to see this Boston tradition with her!
